CREW VIEWS
Which book from 2010 are you most looking forward to reading?
Angela: The book I'm most looking forward to in 2010 is Sophie Kinsella's newest called Mini-Shopaholic. I'm a bit of a fan of Sophie's (ok, I'll admit it, maybe more than a bit!) and I'm very excited to read anything by her as it is always great! The woman could write a plain old article on how to cook potatoes (or something just as silly) and I think I'd still read it, awed by her creativity! Since this book is about her daughter and how she is quickly taking up her mum's habit of shopping like a mad woman (or child in this case) I think it will be interesting to see where she goes with the storyline. I'm curious to see how far in the future it will be as in the last Shopaholic book her daughter Minnie was just born and will obviously be too young to know the difference between a Gucci and some second-rate knock-off. It doesn't matter to me what it's about really, I'm sure it will be excellent. I'm just glad she has written another book that I can get lost in! I really can't wait to read it!

Annmarie: I am a huge fan of Allison Winn Scotch and I absolutely loved her two prior novels, The Department of Lost and Found and Time of My Life. I am very excited for the release of her third novel, The One That I Want, due out in June. The author's website provides a synopsis of the novel: The main character, Tilly Everett, is suddenly given the ability to see into the future. These visions alter everything Tilly has come to believe about herself, her marriage and her life. Tilly determines which life she wants: the one she'd nursed for decades or the one she never considered to be possible. The premise sounds terrific and I can't wait to read it.

Christy: I am really looking forward to a lot of books this year but the book I am looking forward to the most is Midnight Girls by Lulu Taylor. Her book Heiresses was an awesome book and I know that her second will be awesome as well! I also can't wait for Emily Giffin's book Heart of the Matter as she is an awesome writer that I love as well.
Gina: I'm most looking forward to reading the new Shopaholic book Mini-Shopaholic, I can't wait to read the new adventures and mishaps of the lovable Becky Bloomwood. I have to say I'm also very excited about Emily Giffin's new one as well as she always has fantastic can't-put-them-down stories.

Jarin: What am I looking forward to reading this year? Of course, Emily Giffin's Heart of the Matter, because she never disappoints and it has been way too long! Fabulously Fashionable by Holly McQueen (it hasn't come out in the States yet!). The Island by Elin Hilderbrand, because The Castaways kept me hanging on till the very last word. And the much-anticipated, Jennifer Weiner's Fly Away Home!

Leah: 2010 promises to be a great year for new releases from some of our favourite authors. I am looking forward to reading new works by Jen Lancaster, Emily Giffin, Jennifer Weiner and Sophie Kinsella. I think the book I'm most interested in, however, is The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell. I am dying to find out how a young Carrie Bradshaw got to be the Carrie Bradshaw we all know and love. April can't come fast enough.

Paula: The book I am most looking forward to for 2010 is The Ice Cream Girls by Dorothy Koomson as I have read everything by this author and all her books are amazing. However as always there are so many wonderful books being released. Here's the other ones I'm looking forward too: The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell, Celebrity Shopper by Carmen Reid, Insatiable by Meg Cabot, Allie Spencer's The Not-So-Secret Diary of a City Girl, Sweet Little Lies by Lauren Conrad and Beth Pattillo's Mr Darcy Broke My Heart.
Steph: There are going to be some amazing must-read books this year as you'd see in our Hot Reads of 2010 article. But the one that I am most keen to read sees the return of one of my favourite, laugh-out-loud heroines Tracie Martin. The queen of the WAGs is back in the very timely Wags at the World Cup. Her husband Dean is part of the coaching squad as the England soccer team heads to South Africa to try to win the cup for the first time since 1966. British sports journalist Alison Kervin is releasing it in May, to coincide with the build-up to the 2010 World Cup that kicks off the following month.

Xiu Ting: This is a really tough question, but the first book that came to mind is Heart of The Matter. I've always loved Emily Giffin's books, especially Something Borrowed and Something Blue, the intriguing and honest story about friendship and love. It was one of the few that left a deep impression on me, and compelled me to read more of books of the same genre (chick lit!). Emily's latest novel, Heart of the Matter, continues to centre on the themes of love and forgiveness, just like all her previous books, and talks about how the paths of two women intersect through an accident which dramatically changes their lives. All I can say is that - with a brilliant plot and Emily's witty style of writing, I can hardly contain my excitement for the release of this book.
