Anna has never had much luck with the men in her life as Luke, her first husband and father to her children, ended up leaving her for another man. She is now with David, an English professor and struggling novelist. As the novel starts, we discover that David has some unsavoury behaviours including drinking problems and eventually Anna says enough is enough. When she and Luke attends a wedding of one of their school friend's daughters, Anna meets Kiram - a handsome Indian doctor. They get on like a house on fire and it is revealed that Kiram was a former classmate who had had a crush on Anna. The pair seem perfect for each other - the only thing standing in their way of happiness is David. Will Anna finally get her happily ever after? Will the saying third time lucky ring true? (PP)
