Nicole flees her over-bearing fiance and her city life for the security of small-town Rosella Cove. She agrees to live in a run-down old cottage and renovate it to its former glory. What she discovers is a wonderful coastal community where she makes new friends. Along with these new friends, there's also Charlie, the nasty recluse staying in the shed on the property.
Whilst renovating she discovers a box of hidden love letters between the previous owner, Ivy, and her war-time love. Through the reading of these letters, Nicole learns of a connection between the past and the present and the key is Charlie. With the assistance of new acquaintances and the community, Nicole learns how to heal her past wounds and also how to help Charlie.
It is a somewhat predicable story of love, loss, secrets and finally finding yourself and where you belong. This one is best described as a feel-good story. (LF)
