Nora Mackenzie seems to have a perfect fairy-tale life: she has a fantastic job as a fashion stylist in New York and is about to marry one of the richest and most sought-after bachelors in Manhattan. But Nora’s secret and scandalous past threatens to ruin everything she has worked for when a former classmate comes back into her life.
Although the writing is clear and precise, I found the plot a bit far-fetched and confusing, and I can’t say I liked any of the characters. With themes of friendship, love, but also abuse and ethnicity, this is an easy read but didn’t exactly captivate me. (NP)
