Matthew and Myrtle were born on the same day, and this story follows their lives though a number of significant moments. You know they would be perfect together, sharing similar values, but it seems like they will never quite meet.
This debut novel is a beautiful story about the passing of time, which demonstrates the importance of appreciating the moments you share with others. Matthew and Myrtle are both wonderfully endearing characters, and the author’s telling of their lives in quick snapshots skilfully builds up into a full picture. My advice: Grab this book when you next have a moment.
