NEW RELEASE
My Single Friend - Jane Costello (2010)
Lucy decides to makeover her best friend Henry, one of those perennial nice guys who works in an admirable job but just never seems to get the girl. Who knew that under his scruffy, unfashionable exterior was a red-hot hunk? Not Lucy it seems. Her own love life isn't going particularly well, as she seems to have a habit of injuring her dates amid telling them embellished details about her life. Just as Henry's flirtation master classes really start paying dividends, Lucy realises she's fallen for him. Meanwhile on the work front, it seems someone is out to sabotage one of Lucy's PR campaigns. This is a really enjoyable romantic comedy - you will be able to guess the ending but not how the story gets there.
My Single Friend - Jane Costello
Lucy gives her oldest friend, the geeky Henry, an image makeover. Enlisting the help of her best friends Dom and Erin, he not only gets a trendy haircut, his glasses replaced with contact lenses and a wardrobe overhaul, there's also master classes in flirting and seduction. But none of the girls imagine at the start of Project Henry just how successful it's going to be. Henry's transformation from Lucy's terminally single friend to an irresistible sex god takes on a life of its own. And she isn't at all sure she likes it. Perhaps she'd feel better if her own dates were more successful. From rock-climbing to Chekov: when it comes to prospective boyfriends, Lucy is compelled to embellish her CV with unlikely porkies that always backfire - with hilarious results. Now surely the love of her life couldn't have been right in front of her for almost 20 years?
