Widow Nancy has moved, with her 10-year-old daughter Lara, to a village in the countryside for the clean air and fresh start.
But they soon find themselves on the outer after Lara is blamed for an incident at the birthday party of the most popular girl, Rosie. As the schoolmums’ WhatsApp group chat spreads gossip, Nancy finds herself at war with Rosie’s mother Imogen, who had reason to dislike the newcomers well before they even arrived.
This was an engrossing story about bullying and schoolgate cliques that you just knew was building to a mighty climax.
