TV production assistant Evie is working on a new reality TV show called Perfect Mate. She’s supposed to be helping pearl farmer Adam choose his perfect match from two contestants vying for his affections. One of the women shares all his interests while the other is his complete opposite but which one suits him best? Evie, meanwhile, is struggling to keep things professional between her and Adam – even though this show is her big break. The two main characters are refreshingly lovely characters so you do find yourself invested in whether they will get it together. It would have been nice to have had more about the reality TV show and seen the two contestants fleshed out more, rather than the repetitive mulling over the issues holding back Evie and Adam. But overall, this was a cute read that I whipped through in a night.
