Kissing Frogs in Cyberspace - Dianne Sweeney (2009)

Dianne Sweeney is a woman who has had it with dating. She has tried picking up men at the bar, she's been set up on bad blind dates and has scoped out the aisles in bookstores for a potential Mr Right. But when her tactics don't seem to bring her the sort of result she wants, she decides her final hope is the latest dating trend and supposedly one of the sure ways to meet your mate. Welcome to the world of online dating, where men are not who or what they say they are, and the dates are both comical and disturbing. Dianne lets the reader into her world, by sharing all the moments she endured as she ditched the traditional way of dating and opted for something a little out of her realm. The conversations with her dates (names have been changed to protect both the innocent and the so very guilty) will make readers laugh out loud in guilty pleasure, which is why this book is extremely hard to put down. The story is a modern twist on the common everyday romantic storyline, but will this crazy roller-coaster ride called dating stop Dianne from continuing her cyberspace journey? Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince, and sometimes all you get are frogs. (CC)
