Insecure Lily Fitzpatrick won’t design clothes anymore after a scathing review. Instead, she becomes a social media queen and vintage clothing connoisseur. That is, until she sees a divine dress from the 1950s. When she discovers that her grandfather is related to the gorgeous woman in the photograph, she sets her sights on recreating the masterpiece. On a journey of self-discovery and to re-ignite her creative talent, she uncovers family history and trauma surrounding the dress, its maker and its creation. Kerrigan weaves a great tale between the present day and 1950s New York with splashes of Ireland. The story is told from the point of view of Lily, Joy Fitzpatrick, the socialite owner of the dress, and its designer, Honor. The story is very long but that is forgotten as you get lost in the lives of these characters. The beautiful cover alone is enough to make you want to read this book. (LF)
