Rosie has arrived in Mudgee to host a radio show and for a fresh start. She is already fast running out of Tinder options in the country town and is dismayed to find her new co-host is TV vet Markus, who obnoxiously flirted with her while she was on a date with another man.
Amid Rosie and Markus’ bumpy relationship, her ex, Wes, reappears in her life after their 10-year school reunion.
This story – possibly sponsored by Converse - then delves into love triangle territory and I think Rosie may not have made the readers’ choice at the end.
I found my interest waxed and waned through the second half of the book and even a trip to India couldn’t reignite my enthusiasm again. Also unfortunately, as I do love a twist, the soap opera reason Markus seemed to run hot and cold was obvious too early on.
