With interwoven storylines, this book follows a number of characters who are all linked via this season’s must-have little black dress. From the pattern-maker who is retiring after a long career and the sales assistants at Bloomingdale’s, to the movie star who needs a date after being wrongly outed as gay, and the personal assistant who has been in love with her boss for years, this is a charming, cleverly devised tale that I loved so much I read it in one sitting.
