Chloe and Jack have spent a magical five months together, travelling to Thailand and now she’s moved into his flat. But when he dies in an accident, Chloe discovers that he hasn’t really mentioned her to his family and friends. And so drama teacher Chloe has to deal with her grief and learn to move on, wondering what their relationship could have become.
This moving story is about a life and love cut short. It offers a fresh perspective on losing a partner, because of the brief nature of their relationship. Chloe’s responses at times were difficult to understand but she began to grow on me. It really worked that Jack was shared with us readers only as Chloe’s memories of him. Definitely an author to watch out for.
