Following a fall down the stairs, Jo Harding suffers partial amnesia - she can't recall the past year of her life. Husband Rob is on hand as she recovers, as are her daughter Sash and son Fin, but it seems to Jo that her family are hiding the truth about the past year. As she begins to piece together the fragments of what she has forgotten, Jo realises that the past year has been a bumpy one and her own part in it is brought into question.
Told in alternating chapters from before her fall and during her recovery, the story weaves together the mystery of Jo's life. A typical psychological thriller, there are plenty of twists and turns, but for me the story and characters lacked a bit of connection. (JC)
