Formerly from Ireland, Beth works in the shoe section of a New York department store but her real passion is movies. When boyfriend Danny becomes somewhat distant due to his long working hours, she finds herself flirting with a good-looking new colleague called Ryan. Then a delivery arrives for her that sends her on a movie-themed treasure hunt around the city. Can she figure out the clues and discover who the sender is? Is it Danny trying to rekindle their romance or is it Ryan making a play for her? I found the treasure hunt a bit unbelievable, that the person was just waiting there ready to give her the next clue, no matter the time or day. But the story is charming enough that you can simply suspend belief and enjoy the ride.
The Love of a Lifetime, by Melissa Hill, follows a movie lover on a romantic treasure hunt. The summary says: "Hollywood movies are Beth's passion. It will be known as The Gift of the Lifetime in the US, with an October 2016 release.
