On the day of the funeral of her grandmother Una, Gigi informs her father and family that she doesn’t want to sell Bluebell Farm which she inherited. Instead she wants to live there. Her father offers to help her refurbish the house and give her financial help for 12 months. So sculptor Gigi sets up her own studio on the farm and is really enjoying her new way of life. Then her father is arrested and all his assets are blocked. Left on her own with debts to pay and an irresponsible brother to take care of, Gigi faces the struggle between her dreams and survival of her family. So full of emotions, respect, love, Gigi is the person who deserves everything but will she get it?
This is a beautiful story about family relations, friendship and the spirit of good people who stay with us long after they are gone. It’s one of the best books I’ve read in the past few years. (MH)
