Brigid Coady is inspired by a bit of Charles Dickens in her debut novel, No One Wants to Be Miss Havisham. The summary says: "What the Dickens is going on? And did the ghosts send the hunky new lawyer, Jack Twist, to distract her?" No One Wants to Be Miss Havisham is out in May 2015. Coady, who has published several short stories, is on the shortlist for the Romantic Novelists' Association's 2015 Joan Hessayon Award for new writers.
