Murder Most Austen - Tracy Kiely (2012)

Elizabeth Parker is on her way to the annual Jane Austen Festival in Bath with her Aunt Winnie. She's hoping this will be a good distraction from her recent firing, loss of her apartment and her inability to fully commit to her boyfriend Peter. On the plane, Elizabeth is seated near a pompous professor with some vulgar theories about Jane Austen. He plans to announce his "findings" at the conference much to the disbelief of those around him. When Professor Baines is found stabbed to death at the costume ball, there are no shortage of suspects. His daughter-in-law has been after the family money, his first wife is in financial trouble, his trophy wife appears to be hiding something, not to mention the fans who he enraged with his bizarre claims regarding Miss Austen. Once again Elizabeth finds herself caught up in a murder investigation much to Peter's horror and Aunt Winnie's delight. She's trying to stay out of it but Winnie is determined to find the killer. This is the fourth book in this series and it is just as charming as the others. Elizabeth is a great character and Aunt Winnie is a wonderful side-kick. The clues are plentiful and will keep you guessing to the end. (AR)
